1. LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING CHART TO STUDY WHAT IS SUMMARIZING AND ITS PROCESS.

2. SUMMARIZE THE MOST INTERESTING TOPIC FOR YOU FROM ANY OF THE PASSAGES WE HAVE STUDIED SO FAR.

3. WORK ON THE WRITING PROCESS IN YOUR NOTEBOOK AND WRITE THE FINAL DRAFT HERE. FOLLOW THE SAME ORDER AS IN THE CHART.

  1. TELESCOPES
people have been curious to see what lies beyond the clouds in space, in addition to the stars, the planets, the moon and the sun. For this reason there were scientists who found the solution to be able to see that there is in space

First, telescopes as we know them have undergone a transformation that was first recorded in 1608 and Galleo built his own telescope that allowed him to see the moon, the milky way, among others.

Next, Christian huygens forms a more powerful and colossal telescope of his time in 1655 that could be used to study the solar system in detail.

Then, In 1789 the first giant telescope was formed, measuring six meters long for astronomical observation and in 1845 the nebula M51 was discovered, which was a giant spiral cloud of dust and gas. Thanks to advanced technology the images were much clearer and much more visible

Finally, I believe that the telescope was a great invention for humanity since without those advances , people would never have discovered that there were more planets, meteorites, comets, etc.

  3. TITLE: Telescopes
MAIN IDEA: I have learned that the telescope has been a great invention for humanity since it has gone through a massive change to see what is beyond the clouds.

FIRST, Galileo created his own telescope in 1608, and then he used it to view the moon, the planet Jupiter, and then to view the stars.
THEN, other famous scientists made other important contributions to its development, such as Johannes Kepler, Christian Huygens, and Isaac Newton.

NEXT, as technology and research progressed, the telescopes got better and better, allowing us to see more in space.

FINALLY, nowadays we can see incredible images like: meteorites, the moon, the sun and the asteroids from outer space through space telescopes.

Main Idea: I have learned that a dog named Laika sacrificed her life to prove that space travel is safe.

First, The URSS launched the first living thing into space.
Next, It was a dog named Laika, the objective of the trip was to prove that space travel for humans was safe.
Then, Her ship, called sputnik 2, was launched on November 3, 1957.
Finally, Laika die soon after leaving the planets atmosphere because of strees and overheating.

  16. TITLE : TELESCOPE

MAIN IDEA: I have learned that the interest in the telescope has led many inventors, scientists, or even ordinary people to build something that helps to see what is beyond the clouds.

FIRST: Galileo first built his own telescope and used it to view the moon and its crater, it was patented in 1608

CONTINUED: second Christian huygens built the most powerful and colossal telescope of his time in 1655,

THEN: then Isaac Newton built the first reflecting telescope that was smaller and more portable with the same power
In 1789 the first giant six meter long telescope for astronomical observation was built to view Uranus and its moons.
Nebula M51 was discovered in 1845

FINALLY: the most powerful telescopes. Space telescopes, like Hubble, made it possible to see incredible images from outer space. Hubble will soon be replaced by the James Wedd Space Telescope.

    Main idea
    I have learned that telescope
is a very important instrument today and that there is a telescope called a "hubble telescope"
    First
This telescope was named in honor of Edwar hubble who discovered thounsands of galaxies at an observatory in california
    Next
One of the characteristics of hubble was the possibility of being visited by astronauts in the so-called service missions ( sm for its acronym in english )
    Then
During service missions damaged items could be fixed new instruments installed and the orbit of the telescope raised five service missions were carried out (SM1.SM2.SM3A.SM3B and SM4)
    Finally
The last one took place in may 2009 and saw the most drastic improvement in Hubble's instrumental capacity with the installation of two new inatruments (WFC3 and Cos)two other instruments being repaired (ACS and STIS) and another one being improved (FGS)4 its scientific succesor will be the James Webb Space telescope (JWST)which is scheduled to launch in 2021

  19. TITLE.- HOW DO WE BEGIN TO VISIT THE OUTSIDE SPACE?
MAIN IDEA.- Ensure that trips to outer space are safe
FIRST.- During the era of the space race between the USA and USSR, the Soviet Union
launched the first living thing into space. It was a dog named Laika.
NEXT.- Laika was a street dog that became an astronaut because of her size and calmness. After some training, she was ready to go into space.
THEN.- However, in 1993, some Russian space program scientists
revealed that Laika died soon after leaving the planet's atmosphere because of stress
    and overheating.
FINALLY.- Since then, her story has spread around the world and has inspired many tales,
songs, and poems. Some of them say that Laika became a star in the sky.
